Bridal Booking Terms

Bridal makeup services are provided by Shafaq Aashkar, trading as Shafaq's Makeup Studio, Schliemannstr. 14A, 10437 Berlin, Germany. Email: support@shafaqsmakeupstudio.com.

Sending an inquiry through our website doesn't create a booking. We'll reply with availability and a personal quote, valid for 14 days. Your date is only reserved once you accept the quote and your deposit has been received.

• A deposit of 50% of the total secures your date.
• The remaining balance is due 14 days before the wedding, or before we travel for destination weddings.
• Payments are made by bank transfer. You'll receive an invoice for each payment.

If you're a consumer and booked by email or through our website, you can cancel within 14 days of our booking confirmation without giving a reason, and we'll refund all payments. To cancel, send us a clear message by email. If you ask us to provide a service, such as a trial, within these 14 days, you'll pay a proportionate amount for what we've already provided.

After the 14-day period, the deposit is non-refundable, because we turn away other clients for your date. If you cancel less than 30 days before the wedding, the full amount is due. You're always welcome to show that our actual loss was lower, in which case you only pay that lower amount.

If you need to move your wedding date, we'll do our best to transfer your booking. This depends on our availability and isn't guaranteed. You can add people up to 14 days before the wedding, subject to availability. Reducing the number of people isn't possible once your booking is confirmed: the booked number is charged in full. As with cancellations, you're welcome to show that our actual loss was lower, in which case you only pay that lower amount.

Trials are booked and paid separately from the wedding-day service. If the trial takes place after your wedding booking, its price isn't deducted from the package.

For weddings outside Berlin, travel costs are added to your quote. These include flights or train tickets, accommodation, local transport and, where needed, visa fees. We'll list them in your quote. Travel is booked only after the deposit is paid. If a visa application is refused for reasons outside our control, we'll refund all payments except non-refundable costs already paid on your behalf, which we'll show you receipts for.

• Please have a quiet space with a table, a chair, good daylight or bright lighting, and a power socket ready.
• Please arrive with clean, moisturised skin, without makeup.
• All times in your booking are in the local time at your wedding location.
• If delays on your side shorten the available time, we'll do our best, but we can't guarantee the full look. Extra time beyond the booked hours is charged at our quoted rate.
• Evening and full-day touch-up services are only included if listed in your quote.

Please tell us before the wedding about any allergies, sensitive skin, skin conditions or recent treatments, such as peels or injectables. We recommend a patch test, which we can do at your trial. We may decline to apply makeup to irritated or broken skin to protect your health.

If we can't provide your service because of illness, an emergency or travel disruption, we'll tell you as soon as possible and try to arrange a trusted replacement artist, with your agreement. If no replacement is arranged, we'll refund all payments in full.

We'd love to share photos of your bridal look on our website and Instagram, but only with your written permission. You can say no, or withdraw permission later, without affecting your booking.

We're fully liable for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, we're only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the typical, foreseeable damage.

German law applies. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
